I live and work in County Wicklow, Ireland. I have a love of outdoors, I always have. Being immersed in nature has been part of my life since childhood, family walks, making nature tables and playing outside. I am drawn to places, returning to the familiar ones and searching out new places to explore, chasing light and spaces that have atmosphere and just that something that stops you in your tracks. Getting my feet wet, and at times driving my family mad stopping for photographs, returning home with my pockets full of bits and pieces, from acorns to sea glass and found insects. Walking the dog with a sketchbook under my arm, hoping for a fleeting glimpse of that otter, gazing out the window at the birds in my garden. From the weathered atmosphere of a place to the minute textured detail of a bird’s feather, I am continually drawn to and inspired by nature.
I paint in both watercolours and oils.

My background is in Graphic Design, I hold a Diploma with Distinction and an Honours Degree from IADT. I have taught art at primary school level, and also held a numbers of children’s workshops and art camps.

I am an elected member of the Watercolour Society of Ireland.

2017 – My first exhibition ‘A Year of Painting’ in 2017, was exactly that, twelve months spent learning, experimenting, painting and smiling. Thirty six paintings of places travelled to in that time, from The Outer Hebrides in Scotland, to Cork, Wexford and my home county of Wicklow.

I was awarded a two week residency at Cill Rialaig in Ballinskelligs, Kerry in November 2017, a thoroughly incredible experience.
